Introduction: Why?

To begin this introduction, I have to admit, no one is perfect and no one knows everything. That is the reason for this piece of writing that I intend to add to as I see fit - as I continue to learn.
Life throws everyone a curve ball now and again, hopefully, we can take with us the lessons learned from these curve balls and our mistakes to live better, more full lives. In this piece of writing I hope to touch on many different aspects of the modern day life and how we can help ourselves, our fellow man and our planet be the very best we, they and it can be.
I find it disturbing that in a world full of technology, which is meant to benefit our well being, our society and the economy that more and more people are continually asking "why?". Have you ever felt yourself asking "why?" to a problem that is seemingly self explanatory yet, you have trouble explaining it? I know I have. For example, I have found myself continually asking
"why are people so angry and impatient with others",
"why would someone want to work at a job that is so stressful it will likely take them to their grave",
"why do people want to live in a world where people do not live with and help their neighbours and what ever happened to even knowing your neighbours?",
"why, in general does the western world feel so skeptical about alternative medicines and natural healing?",
"why are people so leery of the natural world and the things that nature has to offer?",
"Why do people rely upon the conveniences of the modern day world when sometimes, the alternative is far more rewarding?"
and finally,
"why do people choose to remain ignorant about the evidence and answers out there even if the answers to their most burning questions are so readily available to them?".
These are just a couple of examples but, I feel they are representative of the plethora of questions which float through my head daily. I feel if the world's people were to simply take 2 steps back from reality, as they perceive it, we may just get the answers to many of life's questions through silent observation of Mother Nature....THE ULTIMATE MOTHER (and who doesn't look to their mother for advise?).
Respecting ones self, ones neighbour and ones environment might be the very first step in achieving what many of us look for - love and appreciation in its most raw form.
